One of the things that I immediately started working to overcome when I retired was telling myself that I wasn’t qualified enough to start a business.

In my head, I was thinking I had to hire a publisher to publish my book, hire a web designer to create my website or send “cold” emails or make “cold” phone calls to get speaking engagements.

Over the past 18 months, I’ve sold many books that I self-published through Amazon, I created my own website, my own women empowerment Facebook community, and people are requesting me to speak at their events.

Our minds are so sensitive to negative self-talk when we’re faced with a new or challenging situation. And if we listen to the CRAZY stories that we tell ourselves, we may be holding ourselves back from moving forward.

Every day I tell myself that my self-doubt, nerves, and fears are a sign that I’m outside of my comfort zone which means I’m growing, learning, and pushing myself!!!

Keep on SLAYin' until you can't SLAY no more!
