Validate Your Own Self✌🏾

We’re living in a world where we can sometimes fall into the trap of always seeking validation or approval from our social media platforms, family, friends, bosses, and colleagues.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s good to rely on our trusted circles and have people like our posts and pat us on our back, but we got to make sure we’re not mindlessly doing what we’re told and not losing ourselves.

We are NOT inadequate and we’re NOT “good enough” if we can’t meet close loved ones or societal standards.

One of the things we can all work on to validate ourselves is being our own best friend🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

In my opinion, the most critical relationship in my life is my relationship with myself. Sometimes I feel down on myself, insecure, and overly emotional for not living up to my expectations and sometimes I really believe I need to punish myself by exploiting my feelings…UGHHHH (this is why I’ve been focusing more on self-development this past year).

So if you’re struggling like I am every now and again, let’s continue to ask ourselves the following questions:

1️⃣ What does my body need?

2️⃣ What does my mind need?

3️⃣ What does my spirit need?

Do we need to go for a walk, get in a good workout, take a long nap, journal, listen to music, read a book, drink more water, go shopping etc. etc.

We need to validate ourselves to reinforce that we are important, regardless of what we do or don’t do. PERIOD💯
