Dominate Your Field: How to Become the Only Viable Option

In my last Rise & SLAY Morning Talk Show, I talked a little bit about becoming the Only Viable Option (OVO). One of my mentors, Lesley George posted this graphic of what I stated during the show on my Facebook page. This statement was a reminder to myself that what I'm building is unique and different from what everyone else is doing and that it's okay. Furthermore, it's okay to dominate your field of expertise unapologetically!

In today’s fast-paced world, standing out is not just a goal; it’s a necessity. To become the Only Viable Option (OVO) in your field, you need to embrace your unique strengths, continuously evolve, and build a strong, authentic presence.

Here are eight essential tips to help you slay your goals and dominate your field.

1. Embrace Your Unique Value

The first step to becoming the OVO is to understand and embrace what sets you apart from others in your field. Your unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives are your greatest assets. Here’s how to let them shine:

  • Self-Assessment: Take time to reflect on your skills, achievements, and values. What do you bring to the table that others don’t?

  • Showcase Your Strengths: Use your unique qualities as the cornerstone of your personal brand. Let them guide your professional interactions and decision-making.
